Where the browser stops

This runs the same LUT engine as the app.
Here's what it still can't do.

Everything here happens on your machine — no upload, no server. The gaps below are real ones, measured in this browser rather than assumed.

Get the desktop app
  • Camera formats

ProRes, MXF, BRAW, R3D and CRM will not open — the browser has no decoder for them, and no plugin fixes that. H.264 and HEVC do play, including 10-bit 4:2:2, wherever your OS decoder handles it. The app hands decoding to FFmpeg and reads all of them.

  • Video export

Stills only. A browser can re-encode H.264, but it cannot write ProRes or 10-bit 4:2:2 — so it cannot hand back a graded master that matches what you shot. That is the app's job.

  • Colour space

This page reads your file's container and identifies the curve — the same detection the app runs. It covers MP4 and MOV only, and no Log curve has a standard tag, so the answer is inferred from camera fingerprints. The app also reads RAW and MXF.

  • Your disk

Stills go straight into a folder you pick, and it is remembered between visits — in Chrome and Edge. Safari and Firefox have no such API, so there they download instead. Revealing a file in Finder stays desktop-only.
